I stayed at the Coachouse on the Ballinatray Estate to celebrate a joint 50th birthday party with five girlfriends. The Estate is located on the Blackwater and the place is immaculate. The House itself is amazing and the Coachouse where we were located is in a courtyard just minutes away from the House. The Coachouse was very comfortable for us and had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend. The grounds were beautiful and you could walk for miles around the Estate. I get now why one would not want to leave once they entered those gates, as there is a peace and tranquillity there that is immediately noticeable. Everything about the Estate is stunning, everything is so well maintained and so clearly well cared for. This was a fabulous find just outside Youghal. There are a number of cottages dotted around the Estate and in particular the boathouse at the edge of the water is a place I will stay when I next go back for a more romantic break away. Bring your book and your walking shoes and you will come home like a new person!

It Was A Total Success. I hope you have had a well earned rest and have forgotten all the requests and antics of our crazy French-English-Irish birthday group. Many thanks again, and again, for your great hospitality, organizational skills, diplomacy and friendliness. We have had many eulogistic notes from our friends who, as you were the first to see, were all happy as larks. It was a total success, not a false note, well planned down to the bottle, and my wife and I returned home exhausted, rewarded and fulfilled.

We did not worry about one thing the entire weekend of our magical wedding. Stephen & I would like to thank you again for all your help, dedication & passion you showed us for our wedding in September 2015. We cannot express how happy we were to have all of our families from Ireland & the USA together for a magical weekend at Ballynatray Estate. The House, cottages & surrounding gardens were the perfect stage for our wedding weekend, and it was especially wonderful that we were able to put our own individual touches & finishes; such as pictures of our family & friends around the house, the décor of our outside ceremony & party games for Day Two – all these personal touches we were aloud really made it feel like the house was our own! It was also comforting to know that you had everything under control, we did not worry about one thing the entire weekend of our magical wedding as we knew you were making it all happen flawlessly behind the scenes. All of our guests are still talking about the venue, our spiritual ceremony in the autumn sunshine, atmosphere of the house & grounds, the boat rides on the Blackwater River, and the beautiful food that we all enjoyed over the entire weekend. We have many pictures that we would be happy to share with you, we can put a selection together over the next few weeks and send them on.

Best Wishes, Stephen & Kelli

You feel like a Jane Austin character waiting for her Mr Darcy. We wanted to find an uniquely stylish venue in Cork for our wedding day on July 9. As a fussy bride, I dreamed of sophistication, intimacy and effortless attention to detail. An impossible task, people warned. From the second we drove up Ballynatray’s meandering driveway, with gorgeous grounds and ambling pheasants, we were completely hooked. The Georgian house which could have been taken straight out of a story book blew us away. Every large airy room oozes charm and elegance and makes you feel like a Jane Austin character waiting for her Mr Darcy. We had our wedding blessing in the main hall in the house followed by a beautiful reception for 80 guests in a fairytale marquee on the porch. Weeks later, our guests were and some are still talking about the beautiful food, setting and accommodation. And last but very importantly, the staff were exceptionally professional and friendly and we were so sad to leave when our weekend there was over. Ballynatray is a truly magical wedding venue.

We will never forget the incredible weekend we had at Ballynatray. We could not have been happier with our choice of Ballynatray House as our
wedding venue. The house and the setting are stunning and the accommodation in the house and on the estate where both our families were able to stay were gorgeous and so comfortable. The minute we walked in to Ballynatray we were made to feel at home and having the run of the house for the wedding was so nice. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great weekend. From the first minute we met Katherine we knew she had a clear understanding of they type of wedding we wanted and she did more than deliver it on the day. The gorgeous landscaped gardens were the perfect setting for our wedding photos. We will never forget the incredible weekend we had at Ballynatray and could not recommend it highly enough as a wedding venue.

In a League of it’s own. Ballynatray is definitely in a league of it’s own, and I’m yet to come across such an enchanting venue anywhere else in Ireland. Ballynatray Estate is a truly unique, hidden gem of Ireland, and offers the most magical setting for a wedding. Exclusive hire of the house and estate includes accommodation for up to 28 guests in it’s beautifully restored cottages, apartments and Ballynatray house itself, all of which have maintained the charm and elegance that so epitomises Ballynatray. The beauty of this venue is the tranquility and informality combined with 5 star service, and the comfort and splendour that you can call your own. Ballynatray is an incredibly versatile venue and accommodates blessings, civil ceremonies, marquee weddings or intimate dining and dancing in the house. Guests can enjoy delights from the house wine list, and indulge in seasonal organic produce sourced on the estate, carefully prepared by the in house catering team. Ballynatray also offers a variety of actitivies such as simulated clay pigeon
shooting, deer stalking, Blackwater River cruises, fishing, tennis, garden tours, and endless walks on the estate.
