GlendineThe western boundary comprises the scenic and Romanticised carriage drive to the Catholic Church along the Glendine River. It was the site to a bloody battle in 945AD where the 'Ravens of Munster' defeated the 'Ravens of the West', and to this day there is a discernable chill in the air. Glendine forms a part of the Blackwater River Special Area of Conservation, conserved for its community of Oaks. |
