Fishing & Angling
Explore 3 miles of frontage on the Blackwater river which is famous for its trout and salmon fishing. It is perfect for all types of fishing - fly spinning etc. The experienced 'Ghillie' will guide you around the beats of the river so you will gain from his knowledge.
The Blackwater river rises in east Kerry and flows eastwards over 100 miles, passing many towns on its way to meet the tidal estuary which begins at Youghal and extends 15 miles up to Cappoquin.
Angling can also be organised locally.
The Cork/Waterford coastline is known as the capital of all year round sea angling in Ireland - wreck fishing, reef fishing, drift fishing, rough ground fishing and shark fishing. The seas are full of Cod, Pollack, Mackerel, Whiting, Ling, Conger, Pouting and Gurnet. Boats are rented from Youghal Harbour near Ballynatray Estate.
